Last year, the Brothers of Gamma Tau Chapter dedicated over 2,200 hours to a variety of important causes around the Twin Cities and across the country, including:

  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
  • The American Heart Association
  • The American Cancer Society
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Muscular Dystrophy Association

As a part of our philanthopy efforts, Gamma Tau also participates in Sigma Nu National Fraternity’s Founder’s Month of Service during April of each year. For this program, every single member of our chapter volunteers five hours of service in Arpil to honor our Founders’ dedication to serving others.

In addition to the hours spent working to help these great intiatives, we were also able to donate over $15,000 to various charities.

Throughout the year, Gamma Tau Chapter hosts and participates in many philanthropic events. Some of the largest events include:

  • Border Battle
  • Relay For Life
  • The Muscle Walk

If you would like to get involved with Sigma Nu’s philanthropy effort or sponsor one of our events, please contact us.

Founder’s Month of Service

At the 63rd Grand Chapter, a resolution was passed to create the Founders’ Month of Service. This resolution expanded the previously used Founders’ Week of Service in an attempt to increase opportunities for chapters to participate in the Helping Hand Initiative.

The primary objective of the Founders’ Month of Service is to serve as a time of year when all Sigma Nu members are called upon to employ their services, talents and time to the benefit of charitable organizations in their local communities.

The month of April will be designated as the Founders’ Month of Service to coincide with April 1, the date of birth of founder Greenfield Quarles.
